[Aug. 23rd, 2006|10:11 am] |
That's a long time not to make a LJ entry. Dude. Just dude.
Anyways, life is exhausting. I've had flu recently so my sleep pattern is all out of whack. Hence I'll fall asleep randomly in the afternoon and then won't be able to get to sleep properly until about 3am. And then I'll wake up at 9am to go down the Post Office etc. etc. I am tired.
I've done quite a lot of reading for next year already so I'm feeling quite proud of myself. I'm hoping to get over 60% for this year. That would be great and would mean that I'm improving. |

| I Think I Just Took Self-Inflicted Pain To A New Level |
[Jul. 25th, 2006|09:15 pm] |
I've written so much today that my hand has cramped up. No, seriously. It really hurts. I can only just about straighten it. Now what am I going to do now that I can't write....::looks at computer::
In other news, it's still bloody warm in Leeds. Like, scary warm. Like, "Erm, am I still in the North of England, because something isn't right about this weather" warm. It would be nice if I wasn't so bloody sensitive to heat changes. |

| Erm...cheese it! |
[Jul. 22nd, 2006|08:05 pm] |
Well, I haven't written anything in here for God knows how long so I thought I should. Not that I actually have much to say other than my new flat is totally cool and Gumdrops is totally fuzzy. Like totally.
Oh, oh oh! And I made my £130 target for Race For Life! I feel so proud of me. :: grins ::
Jim and I are possibly going to see the new Superman movie tomorrow. Jim or Kevin Spacey...hmmm...tricky choice. |

Scraped a 2.1 for my first year...literally, scraped. 60.083% on average (60% is the cut off for a 2.1). Pleased is not the word for it. |

| How Do I Live Without You? |
[Jun. 10th, 2006|12:30 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | worried | ] | My life has become scarily dependant on internet connection. And I'll be without it for two to three weeks when I move in. Of course, after that, I'll have all the broardband access I could ever dream of- it's a small sacrafice. Plus, I can also walk into uni and use a computer cluster there if I need to check my e-mail or whatnot.
But, yes, my life is scarily dependant on the internet. I even order my shopping online so there's a good chance I couldn't eat without the internet. Now that IS scary. |

| Friday Five Time! |
[Jun. 9th, 2006|05:31 pm] |
1. What is (or would be) your dream vacation? I always wanted to go to Toyko or New York. I love cities.
2. What's one thing no vacation can do without? An hours worth of clothes shopping.
3. What has been the best trip of your life so far? Probably to Amsterdam last year. It was awesome. Nice bread too. Mmm. Bread.
4. Who was with you on that trip and what is the role of that person in your life? About 80 odd members from Law Soc. I've decided that my life has become very Law Soc orientated. Call it sad if you like but I'm enjoying it!
5. What's the worst thing that can happen during a vacation? Falling out with the people you went with.

| OMG! What is up with my sleep pattern? |
[Jun. 5th, 2006|01:24 am] |
Need to sleep= body wants to stay wake Need to stay awake= body....zzzzzzzz
But, on the plus side, staying awake does mean I can eat this rather nice shepard's pie.
Life is, well, life. Just a mere week until I get to move out. Yay! With the kitty. Yay! Kitty! I have training stuff today and then it's straight off in the care to Watford. Thorpe Park tomorrow. Then back on the train on Wednesday to sort out photos and go for an evening out. How cares about sleep patterns anyways?? I don't have time for sleep! |

| It's The Friday Friday Friday Friday Friday Five! Yay! |
[May. 26th, 2006|08:40 pm] |
1. How many places have you lived in your life? Three- Bushey, Watford and Headingly. Soon to be four as I'm moving to Leeds City Centre soon. Yay!
2. Which was your favorite and why and what street was it on? I'm not telling you were I used to live! You might go and stalk...the people who live there now...or something. Anyways, my favourite was probably Bushey because it was a really cool old house.
3. If you could live anywhere for the rest of your life, where would it be? Pick a UK city. Any UK city. Manchester seems alright. I'm currently loving Leeds. London is pretty awesome, provided you pick the right area.
4. What would your ideal home have in it? Me! Ok, and apart from me, my computer, a really comfy King size bed (what can I say? I love my sleep), an adqueate kitchen (I'm too lazy to cook- anything too fancy is wasted on me), lots of books and kitties!
5. Can you describe your current crib? It's small and cold. The kitchen is tidy-ish at the moment. As is the bathroom. Amazing really when you think about it. Perhaps everybody is suffering from holiday boredom and is on a tidying streak. Oh, and the bed is uncomfortable.

| I Knew This Would Happen |
[May. 25th, 2006|06:20 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | bored | ] | I stop working. I get bored. What is it with me and workohol? Why, why, why must my interests be so nerdy?
On the plus side, the spare time does mean I can start looking for a summer job properly. Sent my CV out for three more positions yesterday. Fingers crossed I'll find something soon otherwise paying the rent and eating is going to be a problem!
Also, on the plus side, it does mean I have more time to practice ballet. I'm still crap at it but I think I'm getting better.
Oh, Jimmy and I probably won't be going to the ExCel centre after all because it's too tricky to get there and back in one day. Jim will probably go back to his parent's home but mine are on holiday so that's that plan over with. |

| It's Over! It's Finally Over! |
[May. 23rd, 2006|04:15 pm] |
|
Well, my last law exam of my first year is finally over. I, suprisingly, feel rather confident on my Contract exam, considering the majority of people get 3rds in it. I'm not sure on my Constitutional- that didn't go well and considering my essay mark is pretty low, this could be a cause for a re-take. Torts, which is the one I've just finished, I'm really uneasy about though. The questions were EVIL and I managed to miss out a key case entirely on one of them because I was rushing it. Erm, opps. I think I may have passed....just. |

| | crazy | ] | .....WOOHOO! SIX DAY WEEKEND STARTS TOMORROW!!111!!!!11!!
You'd never know term time had started up again, would you? So, yes, I've been working away (well, not really but I'd like to think so) to pass my exams which are now less than three weeks away. Me? Stressed? Never! (Ok, yes). However, I would like to complain about the 9am admin lecture I had to attend on Wednesday. I don't think I've been up that early on a Wednesday in a while.
Still looking for a summer job. Haven't heard anything back from the places I have applied to so not holding my breath there. Hopefully I'll find something.
Went to ballet class Wednesday and did a 5km "run" (ok, so walk quickly) on Tuesday. Am in quite a bit of pain. Ouch.
What else? Oh yeah. Went to see Silent Hill on Tuesday. Wasn't bad at all. Here, enjoy a random promotion....

| [ | mood |
| | chipper | ] | Please raise your hand if over the Easter holidays (as in Good Friday onwards) you have done no less than 17 hours worth of work.
Ok, I know you can't see that I raised my hand but please assume that I just did.
Unfortunately, this is me so it's all crappy low quailt work that will be lucky to scrape a 3rd but hey 17 hours is a long time. A very long time. My hand cramped up from taking notes at one point. It hurt a lot.
Still planning to get that tattoo done on my back. Just need to find the right time now. Yay!
All excited because my new flat will be ready in about a month and a half or so. I think I get to move in after my exams are finished, fingers crossed, touch wood and all that other stuff.
Jim is coming back to Leeds within a few days as well so yay to that as well. |

| [ | music |
| | Mack The Knife- Bobby Darin | ] | 1.What is your favorite photo? ( Warning: Picture of Corpse Underneath. Cut for those easily offended )
Actually, my favourite picture is the bodies of the Goebbles family. I know that sounds really sick but there's something amazingly sad and yet incredibly beautiful about it. I can't help but feel moved by it. But I couldn't find that one so I just went for this. I don't know why but to me Goebbles always seemed like an incredibly sad, miserable and depressed soul which makes these pictures seem all the more emotional.
2. Who took the photo? Wouldn't have a clue.
3. If you could photograph anything or anyone what/who would it be? Kate Moss. She's just an amazing model. Ironic how we've jumped from Goebbles to Moss but....
4. What makes a good photo? It has to protray some sort of emotion. I know that sounds like one big cliche and there will probably be hundreds of people who answer this the same way but it's the truth. A photgraph is nothing if you don't feel in some way moved by it.
5. Which do you prefer: digital or print? To take-digital. To look at- print.

[Apr. 13th, 2006|06:30 pm] |
Made it back to Leeds in one piece and, remarkably, hang-over free. Apparently, I have a liver of steel. Thanks everybody who came to Colindale- I had a great time. And, erm, thanks to everybody who put up with my drunken emotional state afterwards. And good cup of coffee to Steph or Jimmy...fail to remember who made it now.
So, yeah, back in Leeds to work on stuff. I have my report to do (have to do some more reading and then edit it) and a couple of seminars to finish off for. But the main one is revision. Almost made it through the first two of my revision books now. |
